The Role
Are you ready to make a real impact on the future of reward? Food Folk seeks a Senior Remuneration, Benefits & Assurance Specialist to join our Nordic team - a newly established position where you’ll have the unique opportunity to shape develop and implement key strategies throughout the Nordics.
This role blends strategic vision with hands-on execution, driving the design, implementation, and maintenance of frameworks for salaries, incentives, pensions, benefits, and job architecture. The role will also collaborate closely with the Finance team on compensation reporting, lead the annual salary review process across the four Nordic markets, and drive harmonisation of working practices, policies, and processes. Importantly the role will also provide a safeguard for Food Folk and Franchisees by implementing and responding to wage assurance activities in line with legislative changes.
Operating both at a high level and in day-to-day detail, you’ll be working in a dynamic, international environment based in Stockholm, collaborating closely across the Nordics and occasionally travelling within the region.
You will report directly to Head of Nordic People & Culture and will be an integral part of our People team.
Key Responsibilities include
· Developing and maintaining compensation and benefits frameworks for the Nordic region
· Designing and implementing job architecture and grading structures
· Providing guidance on salary, incentives, pensions, and employee benefits
· Partnering with business leaders and the People team to ensure fair, competitive, and consistent reward practices
· Conducting market benchmarking and analysis to inform compensation decisions
· Monitoring wage compliance legislation across the Nordics to ensure Food Folk and Franchisees remain proactive in their response to any changes.
- Leading the team’s reporting requirements to both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring accuracy in reporting, key trend analysis and data that drives decision making
- Supporting HR policies and ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations
- Collaborating closely with the People team and sharing knowledge across the organisation
- Adapting compensation programmes to business needs, organisational changes, and best practices
Your Profile
We’re looking for an experienced professional in compensation and benefits management, ideally at a senior level, who thrives in a matrix organisation and is confident partnering with leaders across all levels. You bring expertise in designing job architecture, grading structures, and reward frameworks, along with a deep understanding of salary, incentives, pensions, and benefits across the Nordic countries.
Integral to your profile is a thorough understanding regarding wage compliance assurance activities as such it is advantageous to have experience in payroll or/and specialisation in Employer Relations.
Using your expert-level Microsoft Office skills to enhance productivity and deliver high-quality outputs. You will be particularly adept in advanced Excel functions — from building dynamic dashboards and performing complex data modelling which will also presentation of results and enable proactive decision making.
You are strategic, flexible, and solution-oriented, with outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills. Your approach is structured, analytical, and proactive, and you possess high integrity, earning trust across all levels of the organisation.
Fluent English is essential for success in our diverse and international setting.
